Carol
Hi, I’m Carol! I’m a US expat who now calls Amsterdam home. I’m also a toddler mom, learning (daily) what it means to balance care for others with care for myself.
I started practicing yoga in 2018, & what began as a way to work on my physical health quickly became a steady anchor through the ups & downs of life. This unexpected passion led to a 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2019 & pre- & post-natal training in 2023 when I became pregnant. I’ve taught adults to elementary school kids and have also helped manage a yoga studio.
These days, my teaching is shaped just as much by real life as by formal training. I saw a real need for caregivers, especially mothers, to take care of themselves in between the messiness of family life, and to build a supportive community around them that just get it. My classes are about showing up as you are, moving & resting in ways that feel supportive, & remembering that you’re allowed to make space for yourself while caring for others in all seasons of life.
