intention of connection
At Life in Bloom Yoga, connection is built in. Each 1-hour session intentionally consists of 45 mins of yoga and 15 mins of (optional) connection, so participants can find movement, rest, and the tribe that supports them best (tea, coffee, and conversation included). Come for the yoga, stay for the (potential) friends.

Carol
Hi, I’m Carol! I’m a US expat who now calls Amsterdam home. I’m also a toddler mom, learning (daily) what it means to balance care for others with care for myself.
I started practicing yoga in 2018, & what began as a way to work on my physical health quickly became a steady anchor through the ups & downs of life. This unexpected passion led to a 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2019 & pre- & post-natal training in 2023 when I became pregnant. I’ve taught adults to elementary school kids and have also helped manage a yoga studio.
These days, my teaching is shaped just as much by real life as by formal training. I saw a real need for caregivers, especially mothers, to take care of themselves in between the messiness of family life, and to build a supportive community around them that just get it. My classes are about showing up as you are, moving & resting in ways that feel supportive, & remembering that you’re allowed to make space for yourself while caring for others in all seasons of life.
